Teaching Assistants required for Blaenau Gwent area

Due to an increase in work in the area, Education Supply Pool are currently seeking to recruit a number of teaching assistants to work in secondary schools in Blaenau Gwent. The ideal candidate will be confident working with pupils from 11-18 and be confident to work on their own initiative as well as working with pupils on a 1-2-1 basis or in groups.

Schools in the area require teaching assistants to be confident to carry out some, if not all of the duties below:

·         Manage behaviour effectively whilst pupils are under your control

·         Use a range of strategies to assist pupils who have additional learning requirements

·         Have a good subject knowledge of work across KS3-KS5 when working with intervention pupils, specifically in Numeracy & Literacy.

·         Be able to work effectively alongside the class teacher, using your own initiative when required.
